Mega Rare c1950s Levi's Type 2 Denim Jacket - S/M

Title Default Title
Qty:

Levi’s Type 2 jacket, featuring Big E on the red tab. These jackets were manufactured in the USA from the 1940’s to the late 1960’s, and were the second iteration of the denim jacket, hence the ‘type 2’ name.

This particular example is probably post-1953; this is when Levi’s introduced the adjusters on either side of the waist at the back, and instead of rivets on the front pockets they introduced bar tacks.

Other notable features - rivets on the sleeve opening, 2 vertical pleats either side of the button closure, and selvedge finish on the inside centre front.

Size - We've sized this as a S/M

Bust/Chest - 38"

Sleeve - 22.5"

Length - 22.5

Condition - We've shot all the main features of wear on this fantastic pre-worn jacket. These include some characterful fraying at the neck, cuffs and waist. The biggest feature is the mark on the sleeve which we think only adds to the long history of this garment. Add your own wear to continue its legacy.
